  1. Sorry, nice try… But this is obviously John Frederick Kensett’s famous painting, “Thunderhead over the Adirondacks,” painted in 1854.

    Is this a new conceptual Tranter project, perhaps? Taking photos of paintings in art books or museums and then retitling them?

    In any case, delighted that you have this blog! I have it bookmarked. This will be more like the authentic Jacket2, I believe.

  2. Good try, Kent, but there’s no such painting. The closest is “Adirondack Scenery”, dated 1854, which looks nothing like my photo. But he could be a wonderful painter.
